What is the defense? Military defense has several different meanings depending on what criteria are applied as reference. The term can be used in individual sense in terms of a single soldier and which methods are single soldier, to defend themselves as, wear protective equipment, use of weapons or build protection as a pit or hole.
The defense is also a term used to describe a military unit defensive tactics, ifThe work against the forces of an enemy attack, perhaps trying to circumnavigate the enemy position, the delay of a hostile attack or a war of attrition with the enemy finally allows defensive strength, form a defensive line or cause a loss offensive space wages for maneuver.
To see a great example of the use of defensive tactics, strategy, if used against American troops in the Vietnam conflict. The VC uses both units and regular army units of the guerrillaFight for a strategic offensive and defensive. The use of smaller mobile guerrillas, the Vietcong on the resources of American soldiers destroying supplies and supply lines included. You also have the Americans resources to manufacture explosive devices, including items such as discarded food cans, as well as unexploded bombs, would collect and use of landmines.
Finally, the defensive efforts of smaller mobile guerrillas has caused such an effectthat the army was able to recognize U.S. troops overrun with a massive attack as the Tet Offensive.
Defensive military strategy is also very evident in the arms race and, more recently, the nuclear arms race. The opinion is that a nation possessed such powerful weapons, it would be inappropriate to attack, of course, if the nation continues offensive weapons of a similar nature.
Nowhere in this example, rather than during the Cold War stand-off indicated the center ofLate twentieth century. A concrete example is the Cuban missile crisis, the United States and the Soviet Union is a party in 1962. Soviet and Cuban authorities had placed nuclear weapons in Cuba, as seen through the American reconnaissance aircraft and the tension between the two countries is already significant, shows a stalemate with the "very real threat of nuclear war takes place . Fortunately diplomatic process to ensure that the crisis relatively amicably settled with the mining ofarms and a no-invasion underway by the U.S. authorities.
